Trash Calendar

Every calendar day is a new trash bag. Every month is a roll of 31, 30, or 28 trash bags. The calendar consists of 12 rolls divided into four quarterly sets with three months-rolls. The date is printed on every bag to be visible when the bag is placed into the trash bin. We created this calendar as a self-promotion of our studio, and we got the inspiration from the fact that the chief part of graphic design products is made to be thrown away.

Year: 2011
Text on the calendar: "All graphic design products ultimately end up in the trash while many more ideas remain just ideas. We believe that each design message has the power to act during its short life. Only this way does design matter. Only when we share ideas that change the world, do our lives matter. Then, we do not regret a day, as we did not waste it."
Most promotional souvenirs immediately go into a trash bin. However, it is the result we are aiming for with our calendar. It works in the trash and makes people wonder why and how each day has been spent.
